Shifter is our most successful internal application. It works as a shift calendar and includes a database of companies and shifts compared to competing apps. Users only need to find their company, shift, and have their work schedule literally at their fingertips.
In the early days of our company, an idea was born in the minds of our employees to create an app that functions as a shift calendar. There were already several of these apps at the time, but they all had one thing in common - the user had to manually choose all upcoming shifts and cycles. This process was difficult for many users, so we decided to come up with our own solution. With the help of users and companies, we spent several years carefully collecting shift information and building an application linked to a database containing shifts from companies around the world.
We have created a mobile app that functions as a digital marketplace, chat platform, search engine and a tool for adding orders. All of this with full connectivity to shifter's existing platform.
Unlike other shift management applications, Shifter is connected to its own database of shifts and companies. In the beginning, users themselves helped to fill in the database, but now companies are also contacting us. Thanks to this, all it takes is to create a profile, add a company and a shift and you're done.
Social features are very popular in Shifter. Users can add shifts of their friends or family members and when planning activities together, they can see if they are free. The app also offers a cross-shift view, which gives the user a quick overview of what specific days the user and his/her friends are free together.
It is possible to edit shifts, change their type, set different types of leave (time off, paid leave), add insertions (called inserts) or delete shifts. The user can also add notes to shifts.
In addition to the monthly overview, Shifter also offers an overview of upcoming shifts with optional notes.
After entering basic information about hourly wages and bonuses, the user can view a rough estimate of earnings that takes into account overtime and time off hours entered.
The Shifter offers the possibility of notifications. Both in bulk - before each shift, and separately for specific shifts.
